The Volunteer Resource Center at the Copper Country Mall (rear entrance of former JCP location) will now be open on Saturdays only from 9 a.m – 5 p.m. until further notice. Volunteer assistance will be coordinated during the week so that individuals and teams can be sent out on Saturday to work on projects. At this phase of the recovery, approximately half the jobs require the use of heavy equipment such as skid steers, loaders, dump trucks, etc. If you have access to this type of equipment or have building skills, please call 906-233-6621 as soon as possible. We will be coordinating some of these jobs during the week depending on the availability of the type of equipment and worker.

There is a still a great need for volunteers who can continue to help victims with clean up and who can staff the VRC on Saturdays. If you are able to volunteer on a Saturday in any capacity, call 906-233-6621 and indicate what time block you are available. Please bring an official I.D. Individuals who would like to volunteer should be 18 and over. If under 18, a parent/guardian signature will be required.
