AREA-WIDE UPDATES
- With the holiday weekend coming up, hot weather, and sunshine, it is tempting to tell ourselves that “I’ll be fine, I don’t need to wear a mask at this activity” or “I’m sure no one else in the crowd is positive” or even “I don’t care anymore, I’m tired of this!”. But we are a community, and our actions impact those around us. Our right to do as we please, does not mean we should intentionally create risks to others. Executive Order 2020-143 was issued yesterday afternoon which re-closed bars in much of lower Michigan as a result of super-spreader cases in East Lansing, Kalamazoo, and Grand Rapids. We very much do not want this to occur in our area again. The only way to prevent that is for everyone to do their part to take standard precautions of good hygiene, social distancing, and wearing masks when social distancing is not possible. Only working together will we overcome this pandemic, but it only takes one person to derail our recovery. Please do your part.
